The final round of the Gala Bingo Caller of the Year contest will take place on July 16 in Birmingham. The finalists will have to demonstrate their calling abilities in front of a live audience and answer the judges’s questions to show their personalities and their skills concerning interaction with the audience.

“Calling a game of bingo is far more difficult than most people imagine and, with such big prize money at stake, it\'s vital standards are extremely high”, Bob Smith, spokesman of Gala Bingo, said.

Eight bingo callers are in the final. Judges will thoroughly examine their pace, pronunciation, professionalism and personalities. The winner will receive a £500 prize, a trophy and the opportunity to call at special Gala events for a year.
